Abstract:
A method and apparatus of deriving intra prediction by using multiple reference lines. A method and apparatus for video coding are disclosed. According to this method, input data associated with a current block are received, wherein the input data comprise pixel data for the current block to be encoded at an encoder side or encoded data associated with the current block to be decoded at a decoder side. Multi-reference-line prediction for the current block is determined using multiple reference lines comprising a first reference line and a second reference line. A target prediction is determined from a set of prediction candidates comprising the multi-reference-line prediction. The current block is encoded or decoded by using the target prediction.
