Abstract:
The present application provides a method and apparatus for information monitoring, capable of reducing power consumption of a terminal device. The method comprises: a terminal device determining at least one first PDCCH candidate position according to a search space set of a first SSSG; during the operation of an on duration timer in a DRX cycle, the terminal device monitoring a first PDCCH at the first PDCCH candidate position; the terminal device determining at least one second PDCCH candidate position according to a search space set of a second SSSG; when first control information for scheduling newly transmitted data is detected on the first PDCCH, the terminal device monitoring the second PDCCH at the second PDCCH candidate position during the operation of an inactivity timer in the DRX cycle, the period of the first PDCCH being greater than the period of the second PDCCH and/or the on duration of the search space set in the first SSSG is less than the on duration of the search space set in the second SSSG.
