A method of a terminal in a wireless communication system, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, comprises the steps of: receiving information about a multicast and broadcast service (MBS) from a base station; identifying an MBS to be provided from the base station, on the basis of the information about the MBS; transmitting, to the base station, an RRC connection configuration request message for the identified MBS, on the basis of a temporary mobile group identify (TMGI) of the identified MBS included in the information about the MBS; receiving RRC connection configuration information from the base station; and receiving, from the base station, data corresponding to the identified MBS, wherein the TMGI of the identified MBS may include access category information for controlling an access to the base station.
