Abstract:
The present application provides a method and apparatus for predicting a telephone traffic volume, capable of predicting a telephone traffic volume, facilitating the avoidance of the impact on a service due to unreasonable resource allocation. The method comprises: a second management device sends a first message to a first management device, the first message being used for requesting the first management device to perform telephone traffic volume prediction, and the first message comprising a prediction object, a telephone traffic type, and prediction requirement information, the prediction requirement information comprising prediction granularity and/or a prediction period, wherein the prediction granularity comprises at least one of the following: a prediction region, a prediction service type, a prediction slice, a prediction cell, prediction public land mobile network (PLMN), or a prediction tenant; a first management device receives the first message, and according to the prediction requirement information, determines a telephone traffic volume corresponding to the telephone traffic type for the prediction object.
