Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing 1, 3-butadiene, which enables the production of 1, 3-butadiene with high yield, while preventing an abnormal reaction of a fraction that contains vinyl acetylene at a high concentration. A method for producing 1, 3-butadiene according to the present invention is a method for producing 1, 3-butadiene from a fraction that is produced when 1, 3-butadiene is separated and recovered from a C4 hydrocarbon mixture, said method comprising a step for preparing a diluted fraction by adding a diluent to a high VA fraction that contains vinyl acetylene and a step for producing 1, 3-butadiene by subjecting the diluted fraction to a hydrogenation treatment. Only a low VA fraction is substantially used as the diluent; and the low VA fraction is a fraction which is produced when 1, 3-butadiene is separated and recovered from a C4 hydrocarbon mixture, and which has a lower vinyl acetylene concentration than the high VA fraction.
