Abstract:
Disclosed are a method, apparatus and system for switching video streams. The method comprises: a transmission device receiving a first video stream and a second video stream; sending the first video stream via a target outlet port; when a switching instruction is received, determining switching reference information of a first reference frame tail packet in the first video stream and switching reference information of a second reference frame tail packet in the second video stream; respectively determining, according to the switching reference information of the first reference frame tail packet and of the second reference frame tail packet, switching reference information of a first switching packet in the first video stream and switching reference information of a second switching packet in the second video stream; and then, according to the switching reference information of the first switching packet and of the second switching packet, switching the first video stream sent via the target outlet port to the second video stream. Since the positions where data packets sent before and after switching are located are considered during the switching of video streams, the damage caused by switching operations to a transmitted video frame can be effectively reduced.
