Abstract:
A method and apparatus for time slot defragmentations of multi-optical ports,
which belong to the technical field of time slot defragmentation in the network,
are provided. The method comprises: obtaining the optical port link information
from the multi-optical ports which need time slot defragmentation, calculating
and determining the adjusted optical port link information for each optical
port link based on the optical port link information; establishing a new path
for the service to be adjusted, whose time slot defragmentation isn't dependent
on other services' time slot defragmentations, based on the adjusted optical
port link information; switching the service to be adjusted to the established
new path and deleting the old path of the service to be adjusted. The effect to the
service caused by the time slot defragmentation is decreased and the effect to
the ASON network's survivability is decreased simultaneity.
