Abstract:
This method for assessing aerosol infection risk comprises: a releasing step S10 for releasing a plurality of liquid microparticles of an average particle size at or below 10 μm and corresponding in number to a quantity at or above a saturated vapor amount into a space that has an established volume; an identifying step S20 for thereafter taking a plurality of measurements of the quantity of the plurality of liquid microparticles within the space, deriving a specific elapsed time until the quantity of the plurality of liquid microparticles decreases to a predetermined quantity from the relationship between the time elapsed since completion of the releasing step S10 and the measured quantity of the plurality of liquid microparticles, and identifying a reduction capability to reduce the plurality of liquid microparticles in the space from the specific elapsed time; and an assessment step S30, S34 for assessing there to be an aerosol infection risk in the space if the reduction capability is less than a reference reduction capability required for the space.
