Abstract:
This method for computing a motor constant of a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor includes: a voltage application step in which an application voltage, in which a DC component and an AC component are combined, is applied to the permanent magnet synchronous electric motor after the frequency of the AC component is changed; a current detection step in which a motor current that flows in accordance with the applied voltage is detected; a phase difference computation step in which a phase difference between the AC component of the applied voltage and the AC component of the motor current is computed; and a motor constant computation step in which a motor constant of the permanent magnet synchronous electric motor is computed. In the motor constant computation step, the motor constant is computed on the basis of an applied voltage and a motor current that yield a phase difference close to 45 degrees.
