Abstract:
This method of calculating a sheet thickness schedule comprises a plurality of steps. One of the steps involves acquiring a rolling model formula, including a rolling load model or a motor power model. Another step involves determining whether there has occurred a parameter restriction that restricts at least one parameter among the rolling load, the motor power, and the rolling reduction ratio of respective rolling stands. Yet another step involves selecting, for each of the rolling stands, a derivative according to the result of the determination so as to select a first derivative when no parameter restriction has occurred and select a second derivative when a parameter restriction has occurred. Yet another step involves using a matrix including the derivative, either the first derivative or the second derivative, that was selected according to the determination result to correct an exit-side sheet thickness of each of the rolling stands.
