Abstract:
A method for carrying out location registration updating, in high rate packet data (HRPD) network comprises: when the subnet of the HRPD network that the terminal corresponds to has a change, the terminal reports its current location information to the mobile switching center (MSC) through the access network (200). MSC updates the registration location information of the MS/AT in MSC by using the received location information of the MS/AT (201). The method of the present invention ensures that MS/AT can accurately receive the packet called even if the subnet of the HRPD network switching is taken place during the course of the MS/AT moving, also ensures the call arriving accurately, thereby MSC carries out ambulant management of the MS/AT in HRPD network.
