Abstract:
The disclosure relates to methods for colouring keratinous substrates using solubilised vat dyes, as well as compositions and kits suitable for carrying out the methods. The disclosure also relates to novel solubilised vat dyes. The solubilised vat dyes are leuco vat dye sulfuric esters. A method for changing the colour of a vat-dye- coloured keratinous substrate, which is also disclosed, comprises applying a composition of pH 11.0-12.0 that comprises a reducing agent.
