Abstract:
The method according to the invention allows control over a supercapacitor energy storage unit (12) included in a micro-hybrid system for a motor vehicle (1) able to perform the functions of alternator, starter, automatic stop-restart of a vehicle combustion engine (MT), regenerative braking and torque assistance. The energy storage unit comprises a plurality of supercapacitor cells mounted in series and delivers information (Vmax, Temp, DeltaV) regarding its internal status. The method comprises steps for comparing temperature information (Temp) delivered by the unit (12) against at least one temperature threshold and for deciding on a limit of availability of the functions of the system when the temperature information (Temp) reaches said at least one temperature threshold.
