Abstract:
Provided is a method for correcting meander in a strip substrate in a transport device that transports without contacting and by causing the strip substrate, that is continuously traveling, to float using one or more floater groups arranged in series, wherein the meander is corrected by forcibly changing and tilting the height of the strip substrate in the width direction in one or more intervals of between a floater of the floater group furthest upstream and a transport roller immediately upstream of that floater, between two adjacent floaters, and between a floater of the floater group furthest downstream and the transport roller immediately downstream of that floater and thereby changing the height of the strip substrate in the width direction on the floater and changing the static pressure applied to the strip substrate on the floater. Also provided is a device for same.
