Abstract:
Provided are: a method for detecting a fluctuation in a coagulation layer capable of detecting a fluctuation in a coagulation layer at an early stage; and a blast furnace operation method. In the method for detecting a fluctuation in a coagulation layer, the fluctuation in the coagulation layer at the bottom of a blast furnace is detected using the amount of heat supplied to a molten iron at the bottom of the blast furnace during a predetermined period and the amount of heat of the molten iron tapped off.
