Disclosed in the present invention is a method for determining the segmentation threshold of a rock and soil material digital image, the method comprising the following steps: S1: acquiring a greyscale histogram curve of an SEM image of rock and soil material; S2: on the basis of the greyscale histogram curve, determining the value range of a segmentation threshold value T; S3: acquiring a second derivative of the greyscale histogram curve; and S4: on the basis of the second derivative of the greyscale histogram curve and the value range of the segmentation threshold value T, determining the size of the segmentation threshold value T. The present method can rapidly determine the segmentation threshold value of the rock and soil material digital image and, from the digital image, accurately distinguish the pores or crack structures of the rock and soil material from the surface soil skeleton structure, thereby providing an accurate segmentation threshold value for subsequent in-depth study of the rock and soil material based on the digital image, and providing effective technical support for accurate extraction of pore and crack structures.
