Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for determining the velocity of an ultrasonic wave in an arbitrary medium on the basis of a wavefront image of an ultrasonic wave generated from an object inside the medium. A method for determining the velocity of an ultrasonic wave according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: irradiating a laser pulse to an object in an arbitrary medium; generating a wavefront image of an ultrasound wave generated from the object; calculating the depth of the object on the basis of the wavefront image; and determining the velocity of the ultrasonic wave such that the depth of the object is constant with time.
