Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a method and device for acquiring the external features of an animal, and a computer device. A common image capturing device is utilized to acquire a target image of an animal to be measured and photographing posture information of the image capturing device when photographing the target image, feature extraction is performed with respect to the target image to produce information of multiple key feature points of said animal, and the horizontal photographing distance between the center point of the image capturing device and said animal is determined on the basis of location information of a first key feature point and of photographing posture information, thus acquiring, on the basis of the horizontal photographing distance and location information of a second key feature point corresponding to body measurements to be measured, corresponding external feature values to be measured, preventing possible injuries that may be inflicted on said animal or on a measuring user during manual measurement, reducing equipment costs and professional requirements on the photographing user and a photographing venue, and increasing the universality of the method set forth in the present application for acquiring the external features of an animal.
