Abstract:

Provided is a port selection method. The method involves a first network device and a second network device for realizing dual-homing access, and comprises: determining that a port state of a first port, which is used for dual-homing access, in the first network device can be switched from a first state to a UP state; receiving a port state of a second port, which is used for dual-homing access, in the second network device; and according to the port state of the first port and the port state of the second port, selecting, from the first port and the second port, a port which needs to be switched to the UP state. According to the method, port states at two sides are comprehensively considered, two ports for realizing dual-homing access not being in the UP state at the same time is avoided as far as possible, and traffic interruption of an access side device is avoided as far as possible.
