Abstract:
A method and device for expanding the applications of an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC). The method comprises: when a target application needs to be switched, acquiring, according to the target application, a publisher identifier of the target application from a server corresponding to the target application (101); acquiring, from a stored eUICC identifier (eID) set, an eID matching the publisher identifier so as to obtain a valid eID (102), and updating the current eID to the valid eID; an eUICC in a terminal acquiring, according to the valid eID, a code number configuration file from the server by means of an LPA (103); receiving the code number configuration file acquired by the eUICC from the server, and acquiring, therefrom, subscription information corresponding to the valid eID (104); and transmitting the subscription information to the server such that the server manages the switched target application corresponding to the valid eID (105). The invention expands the applications of an eUICC, thereby improving the efficiency of applications of an eUICC.
