Abstract:
A method for implementing NAT. A mapping table and a filtering table are created, and a first key value and a second key value that are used to query the mapping table and the filtering table are correspondingly set; when a message needs to be sent from a private network to a public network, the mapping table is utilized to implement NAT; when a message needs to be sent from the public network to the private network, the filtering table is utilized to implement NAT; and the message is then forwarded after NAT.
