Abstract:
A method and device for repairing a memory. The method is applied to a storage controller, wherein the storage controller is connected to a first memory and a second memory. The method comprises: receiving a first read request, wherein the first read request is used to instruct for first data in the first memory to be read; when reading of the first data in the first memory fails, acquiring the first data from the second memory; sending a write request to the first memory, wherein the write request carries the first data; receiving a response message sent by the first memory, wherein the response message is used to indicate that the first data has been successfully written into the first memory; and determining, according to the response message, that the error of a logical bad block in the first memory has been repaired. According to the method, the repair of a logical bad block in a memory can be realized, thereby improving the usability of a system and reducing the number of times that the memory needs to be replaced, and reducing the operating cost of the system.
