Abstract:
A method and a device for setting variable checking criteria in a yarn-join monitor of an automatic winder detects when the number of operations of the monitor exceeds a predetermined range. The number of the yarn joins in an automatic yarn-joining machine of the winder, and the operations of the monitor during a number of joins are counted, a signal is generated when the number of operations of the monitor reaches a predetermined upper limit, another signal is generated when the number of operations of the monitor, as the number of the joins reaches a predetermined value, is lower than a predetermined lower limit, so that variations in the monitor criteria of the monitor can be detected by the two signals.
