Abstract:
A device for starting and stopping an internal combustion engine (60) of a motor vehicle is proposed, the internal combustion engine (60) being assigned an electric machine (70) for starting the internal combustion engine (60) and an electric energy accumulator (290), comprising a first switching means (10), in particular a push-button, and a second switching means (20), in particular a relay which is closed in the currentless state, the first switching means (10) being able to assume a first state and a second state, and the second switching means (20) being able to assume a first state and a second state, the electric machine (70) being connected in an electrically conductive manner to the electric energy accumulator (290) when the second switching means (20) assumes the first state and the first switching means (10) assumes the first state.
