Abstract:
Provided is an efficient drive method which enables an ultrasonic atomizer with a simple structure to generate a continuous mist with low power consumption. An ultrasonic atomizer 100 includes an ultrasonic vibration part 20 that generates ultrasonic waves, and atomizes liquid that directly contacts the ultrasonic vibration part. The method for driving the ultrasonic atomizer 100 includes an ON period in which the ultrasonic vibration part 20 is driven with power that is capable of causing atomization and an OFF period in which the ultrasonic vibration part 20 is driven with power that is not capable of causing atomization. The ON period starts before the atomization state generated in the previous ON period disappears in the OFF period.
