Abstract:
This method for evaluating an optical element comprises: evaluating the asymmetry of the optical element, which is provided with front and rear optical surfaces, obtained by press-molding a molding material at a prescribed press pressure; and evaluating the asymmetry of the optical element on the basis of a value calculated from formula (1) for the optical element produced at the prescribed press pressure.
