Abstract:
Provided in the present invention is a method executed by a user equipment (UE). The method comprises: if extended discontinuous reception (eDRX) configured for a UE meets a first configuration requirement, the UE monitoring its own paging occasion (PO) during an RRC-inactive state small data transmission process and according to a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, so as to acquire a short message; and when the short message acquired by the UE carries a system message change instruction, the UE executing a system message acquisition procedure at the beginning of the next system message modification cycle.
