Abstract:
A method for recovering manganese from waste dry batteries, said method sequentially comprising, in the following order: a step for sorting waste dry batteries; a fracturing/sieving step for obtaining a particulate material from the waste dry batteries; an acid leaching step for obtaining a leachate, which contains ions of Mn, Zn and Fe, from the particulate material; a solid-liquid separation step for separating the leachate; and a manganese extraction step for obtaining a manganese-containing solution from the leachate. The manganese extraction step comprises, in random order, a specific zinc removal step and a specific iron removal step.
