Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of forming a photocatalytic film capable of strengthening bonds between photocatalytic particles in the photocatalytic film, and between a transparent electrode and photocatalytic particles of the photocatalytic film. A paste containing titanium oxide particles is applied to a transparent electrode (3) comprising a transparent substrate (1) and a transparent conductive film (2) thereon and dried to form a photocatalytic film (4) on the transparent conductive film (2) of the transparent electrode (3). Then, the photocatalytic film (4) is irradiated with an alexandrite laser (700-820nm) from the side of the transparent electrode (3). Thereafter, the photocatalytic film (4) is immersed in an immersion solution containing a photosensitizing dye which is absorbed by the surface of the photocatalytic film.
