Abstract:
A method of increasing the permeability of a coal seam using high-power electric blasting assisted by hydraulic fracturing from a bottom drainage roadway, configured to efficiently extract gas from a coal seam having a high gas content and low gas permeability. The method comprises: first using a drilling machine to work on a coal seam (2) from a bottom drainage roadway (1) to create a borehole for electric pulse fracturing (4), and using hydraulic fracturing to create cracks in the electric pulse fracturing borehole (4); then using a high-voltage pulse discharger (6) to discharge electricity into water to generate a shock wave acting on a medium, and accordingly creating a large number of gaps and facilitating further expansion and mutual communication of the original cracks; and at the same time, continuously developing, through mutual action of an increasing pressure due to the hydraulic fracturing process and pulse waves repeatedly impacting on the medium, the cracks in the coal seam to form a crack network, such that passages for gas removal are provided, and the permeability of the coal seam is significantly improved, thereby realizing efficient gas extraction.
