Abstract:
A semiconductor pump discharge gas laser, comprising a semiconductor laser device (1), an optical shaping system (2), an electrode pair (4), a discharge tube (5), a matching network (7), a radio frequency power supply (8), a tail mirror (9), and an output mirror (10). The discharge tube is filled with working gas; the electrode pair is symmetrically disposed outside the discharge tube in parallel; semiconductor laser is pump light; the center wavelength of the pump light matches absorption lines of gas particles generated after radio frequency discharging of the working gas in the discharge tube, and the pump light is injected into the discharge tube from the side surfaces between the discharge tube and the electrode pair. An inner cavity of the discharge tube has characteristics of high reflectivity to the semiconductor pump light. Hence, nonlinear effects of high-power continuous single-mode laser and high-power picosecond and femtosecond laser can be effectively overcome, and unfavorable influences of an alkali metal vapor laser device on human and environment can be reduced. In addition, ultra-high-power laser output with high pulse energy, high beam quality, high quantum efficiency, high pumping efficiency, as well as good atmosphere and optical fiber transmission characteristics are implemented.
