Abstract:
A method for leaching laterite nickel ore. The leaching method comprises the following steps: 1) concentrating an original laterite nickel ore pulp having a particle size of less than 0.074mm into a laterite nickel ore pulp having an underflow concentration of greater than 25%; 2) adding concentrated sulfuric acid into the laterite nickel ore pulp obtained in step 1), and pre-leaching under atmospheric pressure at no less than 75°C for at least 2h, the mass ratio of acid to dry ore being at least 1:1; 3) dispensing the laterite nickel ore pulp obtained in step 1) into the pre-leached reaction system in step 2) and performing oxygen pressure leaching to obtain a leached solution. The described method applies pre-leaching under atmospheric pressure and leaching under oxygen pressure, which effectively reduces acid consumption while guaranteeing that the leaching rate of nickel is higher than 90%; meanwhile, the requirements on equipment are reduced, and equipment investment and equipment maintenance costs are lowered.
