Abstract:
A method for magnesium and calcium treatments of molten steel by spraying powder using elongated nozzle (4) in a molten steel casting process. A slit nozzle (4-3) is provided on the inner wall of the elongated nozzle(4); during the casting process, fine magnesium powder or calcium powder is continuously sprayed into the elongated nozzle (4) by means of the slit nozzle (4-3); the magnesium powder or calcium powder is mixed violently with the molten steel flowing downward in the elongated nozzle (4) and quickly dissolves; and the modification treatment of impurities in the molten steel is complete using magnesium or calcium during the retention time of the molten steel in a tundish (5). Only the structure of the elongated nozzle (4) needs to be adjusted, the cost is low, replacement is convenient, the process is safe and efficient, and the yield of magnesium or calcium can be increased to more than 50%.
