Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing an absorbent article which does not tend to open after being folded. This method for manufacturing an absorbent article includes: a step of forming an absorbent article having a front waist region, a rear waist region, a crotch region between the front waist region and the rear waist region, an absorber disposed at least in the crotch region, and an elastic member disposed in a region that overlaps at least with the absorber in the thickness direction; a first folding step of folding the absorbent article in half along a first folding portion that passes the crotch region along the width direction of the absorbent article; and a second folding step of further folding the absorbent article along a pair of second folding portions that each lie on top of each other and extend along the width direction in the absorbent article folded in half. At least one of the pair of second folding portions intersects with the elastic member.
