Abstract:
Provided are a method for manufacturing an absorbent body, an apparatus for manufacturing the absorbent body, and a method for manufacturing an absorbent article, whereby it is possible to stabilize the quality of the absorbent body when forming a compression groove by pressing the base material of the absorbent body between the side of a protrusion and the side of a recess. This method for manufacturing an absorbent body (30) has a pressing step (S20, S50) for forming the compression groove in the base material by means of the protrusion on one of a pair of rolls facing each other and the recess on the other roll. The compression formation portion has a side compression formation portion, which is the portion that presses the base material between the side of the protrusion and the side of the recess. In the pressing step, the base material is fed in the conveying direction while being pressed by at least the side compression formation portion. The difference between the feed rate of the base material on one side of the side compression formation portion in the vertical direction and the feed rate of the base material on the other side is within 5%.
