Abstract:
A method for manufacturing active material including the following steps. (1) A step for mixing an activation process agent that contains one or more alkali metal compounds with an electrode mixed material that includes an active material and a binding material;
(2) a step for heating the obtained mixture to a temperature that is greater than or equal to the melting start temperature of the activation process agent in an atmosphere having an oxygen partial pressure of 0.3 atm or more; and
(3) a step for recovering the active material from the mixture after heating.
