Title:
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AEROGEL POWDER AND HEAT-INSULATING MATERIAL USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/107365
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing aerogel powder according to the present invention comprises: a mixing step for mixing and hydrolyzing silicon alkoxide (tetraethoxysilane (TEOS)) and a solvent (methanol) so as to generate a sol; a gelling step for gelling the sol obtained in the mixing step; an aging step for aging the gel obtained in the gelling step so as to obtain a wet gel (alcogel); a solvent replacement step for replacing the solvent for the wet gel with a prescribed solvent for replacement (hexane); a modification step for using TMCS to modify the surface of a mesh structure of the wet gel with a prescribed organic group; a step for washing the modified wet gel obtained through the wet gel production process; a step for drying the washed modified wet gel; and a step for crushing the dried washed modified wet gel. The present invention makes it possible to reduce manufacturing costs per unit occupied volume and to provide aerogel powder that has excellent heat-insulating properties.
