Abstract:
Provided are a cable with an abnormality sign detection function and an electric wire abnormality sign detection device which are capable of detecting a sign that a break occurs in an electric wire with the same sensitivity irrespective of the position conforming to the axial direction of the electric wire. A cable 1 with an abnormality sign detection function comprises: one or a plurality of target electric wires 2A-D having electric wire conductors 21A-D and electric wire coatings 22 coating the outer periphery of the electric wire conductors 21A-D; one or a plurality of detection wires 3A-C having detection wire conductors 31A-C and detection wire coatings 32 coating the outer periphery of the detection wire conductors 31A-C; and a sheath 5 coating the outer periphery of an electric wire group G including the target electric wires 2A-D and the detection wires 3A-C. The detection wire conductors 31A-C have lower bending resistance than the electric wire conductors 21A-D, and the sheath 5 is formed as an extrusion-molded body brought into firm contact directly with the outer periphery of the electric wire group G or brought into firm contact with a surface of an inner periphery layer 4 coating the electric wire group G by being brought into firm contact with the outer periphery of the electric wire group G.
