Abstract:
A method for manufacturing an artificial eyeball is disclosed. In the method for manufacturing an artificial eyeball, according to the present invention, an artificial eyeball base member is first molded by using a 3D printer. A plurality of colors corresponding to a crystalline lens, an iris, and a cornea of the eyeball are printed on a transparent thermoplastic sheet. The crystalline lens corresponds to a common black, brown, or green pupil. With respect to the iris, various colors such as brown and green can be used depending on race. The cornea is printed such that white is used as a basis with red capillaries distributed throughout. The molded artificial eyeball base member is provided on a vacuum suction plate. The thermoplastic sheet on which the pupil is printed is located on a contact surface of the artificial eyeball base member provided on the vacuum suction plate. Air is suctioned from the bottom surface of the vacuum suction plate such that the thermoplastic sheet is attached to the artificial eyeball base member.
