Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing catheter capable of preventing a sharp portion from easily remaining at a distal end part, and the catheter. Provided is a method for manufacturing a catheter (1) having a distal end and a proximal end, the manufacturing method comprising: a step for disposing a first core material (15) in a lumen of a tubular member (2); a first step for disposing the tubular member (2) in a first mold; and a burr forming step of forming a burr (5) on the distal side of the tubular member (2). It is preferred that this manufacturing method have a second step for melting the burr (5) in a second mold (20), the burr (5) being formed on the distal side of the tubular member (2) in the burr forming step.
