Abstract:
[Problem] To make possible prevention of occurrences of burrs in normal working processes after casting when manufacturing cylinder blocks with integrated sleeve casting.
[Solution] When a sleeve (S) is set in a pin part (2p) of an upper mold (2) and a lower mold (3) clamped thereto, a proximal and contacting part (3k) that comes into the proximity of or contacts part of the inside end surface of the sleeve (S) is provided on the lower mold (3), and also a wide part (3z) is provided in a location facing the outside end surface of the sleeve (S). After cutting processing (dashed line) of the inside peripheral surface of a casting product cast by this mold (1) and when a champhering process (alternating short and long dashed line) is carried out on the opening part of the sleeve (S), a part formed at the boundary part of the proximal and contacting part (3k) and the wide part (3z) is included.
