Abstract:
Provided is a positive electrode active material for a lithium-ion cell having excellent cell characteristics. The positive electrode active material for a lithium-ion cell is represented by the composition formula LixNi1-yMyO2+α (where 0.9 ≤ x ≤1.2, 0 < y ≤ 0.7, -0.1 ≤ α ≤ 0.1, and M is a metal), and when 5 to 30 mg of the positive electrode active material is measured by TPD-MS, the local maximum value of the generation speed at an H2O-derive peak in a region of 200°C to 400°C is equal to or less than 5 wtppm/second.
