Abstract:
Firstly, the present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for manufacturing an electrode for electrolysis of water that comprises a layered double hydroxide nanosheet, which has good hydrogen-generating ability, excellent adhesion to an electrically conductive substrate and excellent electrochemical stability. The present invention provides a method for manufacturing an electrode for electrolysis of water that comprises a step for immersing a layered double hydroxide-containing electrode substrate in an organic solvent. Secondly, the present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for manufacturing an electrode for electrolysis of water that comprises metal-doped tricobalt tetroxide, which has good hydrogen-generating ability, good adhesion to an electrically conductive substrate and excellent electrochemical stability. The present invention provides a method for manufacturing an electrode for electrolysis of water that comprises a step for performing electrodeposition in an aqueous solution comprising a metal-containing compound and a cobalt compound using an electrically conductive substrate as the anode and then firing.
