Abstract:
A power transmission apparatus (10) to be disposed in a power transmission pathway for transmitting torque and rotation speed. Shock during torque transmission can be absorbed because an inner ring (12) and a first outer ring (15) engage with first rollers (17) and move relative to each other in the axial direction during torque transmission. A limiting device (30) limits the movement of the first outer ring (15) in the axial direction when the inner ring (12) and the first outer ring (15) engage with the first rollers (17). As a result, the rolling of the first rollers (17) is restricted, inhibiting torque increase and making it possible to cut torque appropriately without a sense of anything being strange.
