Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a fluororesin in which contained low boiling components have been adequately reduced. Provided is a method for manufacturing a fluororesin in which low boiling components have been reduced by melting and kneading a melt-formable fluororesin with a twin screw extruder 10, wherein: the twin screw extruder 10 has at least one melting zone; the set temperature for a first melting zone Z1, which is the most upstream of the melting zones, is the fluororesin melting point + 25-100°C; the degree of vacuum at the vent port of a vacuum vent 14 is −0.07 MPa [gage] or less; and the melt volume flow rate α2 (g/10 min) for the fluororesin at a specified temperature and load after melting and kneading satisfies α1 <α2 ≤ α1 + 14 with respect to the melt volume flow rate α1 (g/10 min) for the fluororesin at the same temperature and same load before the melting and kneading.
