Abstract:
This manufacturing method includes: (1) a step of irradiating a glass plate having opposing first and second main surfaces with a laser from the side of the first main surface of the glass plate to form an in-plane void area in which a plurality of voids are arranged on the first main surface and to form a plurality of inner void rows in which one or more voids are arranged from the in-plane void area toward the second main surface; (2) a step of forming an organic film on the first main surface or the second main surface of the glass plate; and (3) a step of irradiating and scanning the side of the main surface of the glass plate on which the organic film is formed with a laser that is different from the aforementioned laser along the in-plane void area under prescribed conditions to separate a glass product from the glass plate.
