Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a high-strength sheath-core synthetic fiber, and a high-strength sheath-core synthetic fiber manufactured thereby, and, to a method for manufacturing a sheath-core synthetic fiber, and a sheath-core synthetic fiber in which a sheath component is made of a resin that has, in comparison to a core component, lower extensional viscosity and thermal conductivity and a higher specific heat, the method comprising the steps of: forming a fiber by melt spinning a thermoplastic polymer of a sheath component and a core component through a spinneret including a sheath-core conjugated spinning nozzle; allowing molten fiber to pass, during the melt spinning, through a heating zone placed directly under the spinning nozzle, thereby heating same; cooling the heated fiber; and drawing the cooled fiber, wherein the sheath component uses the resin that has, in comparison to the core component, lower extensional viscosity and thermal conductivity and a higher specific heat. Provided is a high-strength microfiber satisfying a fine diameter and at least a specific ratio of strength to intrinsic viscosity.
