Abstract:
Provided are: a method which is for manufacturing an image display panel, and which suppresses a decrease in manufacturing efficiency; and a surface protective film that contributes to suppressing a decrease in the manufacturing efficiency of the image display panel. The method for manufacturing an image display panel according to an embodiment of the present invention uses a surface protective film including: a base material that is attached to a viewing side of a polarizing plate disposed on a viewing side of the image display panel and has a first principal surface and a second principal surface facing each other; and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer disposed on the second principal surface of the base material. The surface resistance value of the first principal surface of the surface protective film is at least 1.0×108 Ω/□, and the peel strength of the surface protective film with respect to the polarizing plate is at least 0.03 N/25 mm.
