Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a negative active material, comprising: a step for preparing a lithium titanium oxide; a step for mixing the lithium titanium oxide and Mo; and a step for heat-treating the lithium titanium oxide mixed with the Mo in a reducing atmosphere. The heat-treating of the lithium titanium oxide mixed with the Mo in a reducing atmosphere improves the properties of Ti3+,which is easily oxidized at normal temperature in air, enhances electronic conductivity, and stabilizes the oxidation state in air, thereby providing a negative active material for a secondary battery which can obtain an excellent performance of a secondary battery.
