Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a rotor for a rotary electric machine, the method including: a preparation step for preparing a rotor core having a shaft hole that is oval as seen in an axial direction, and a hollow rotor shaft that has a round outer profile as seen in the axial direction; an arrangement step for forming a state in which the rotor shaft is inserted through the shaft hole of the rotor core; and a fastening step for increasing the diameter of the rotor shaft or decreasing the diameter of the rotor core after the arrangement step, whereby the rotor shaft and the rotor core are fastened in a mode in which the outer profile of the rotor shaft is made to follow the oval shape of the shaft hole.
